IHEP signed the cooperation agreements with several universities and research institutes in Serbia
On July 11, Yifang Wang, the director of the institute of high energy physics, Chinese academy of sciences, visited the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences in Serbia. In the communication, Yifang Wang and Ljupco Hadzijevski, deputy director of the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences, introduced their research areas, achievements and future development plans respectively. The meeting affirmed the cooperation contents in the Memorandum of Understanding on the circular electron positron collider (CEPC) signed by the two sides in 2016, and discussed the expansion of scientific and technological cooperation on this basis.
The CEPC physics detector workshop was held at Peking University
On July 5, solstice, the CEPC physics detector workshop was held at Peking University. The topic of this workshop is to promote the CEPC physics potential analysis, research on detector physics requirements and optimization, and the editing of physics white paper. 93 experts from Peking University, IHEP (CAS), Shanghai Jiaotong University, the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Russia, Tel Aviv University in Isreal, France linear collider laboratory and other institutions attended the meeting.n July 5, solstice, the CEPC physics detector workshop was held at Peking University.
The workshop for CEPC mechanical design of collision region and detector was held in Dongguan
On June 29, a workshop on the mechanical design of CEPC collision region and detector was held at the Dongguan branch of IHEP.
2019 high energy physics computing and software conference
On May 30, the 2019 high energy physics computing and software conference, sponsored by the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, was held in Nanjing University.
The 2018-2019 yearly Meeting of MOST project “High Energy Circular Electron Positron Collider Key Technology Research and Validation” was held in IHEP
On Apr. 29-30th, the yearly meeting of the ministry of science and technology (MOST) National Key R&D Plan project “High Energy Circular Electron Positron Collider Key Technology Research and Validation” was held in IHEP. This is the second CEPC project supported by MSOT, which was started in May 2018 with total period of 5 years. The focus of this meeting is to summarize the implementation status of the project in the first year, making the plan for next year, and preparing the midterm check.
The second high energy circular electron positron collider (EU) workshop was held at the university of Oxford
The second high energy circular electron-positron collider (EU) workshop was held at the university of Oxford on April 15th. This is the second time that the CEPC team held a workshop abroad. The Kick-off Meeting of MOST project “High Energy Circular Electron Positron Collider Key Technology Research and Validation” was held in IHEP
On Nov. 28, the Kick-off meeting of the ministry of science and technology (MOST) National Key R&D Plan project “High Energy Circular Electron Positron Collider Key Technology Research and Validation” was held in IHEP. This is the second CEPC project supported by MSOT, which marks the beginning of key technical breakthrough stage for CEPC's research and development.
CEPC Industrial Promotion Consortium Meeting were held in IHEP
On November 12th to 14th, CEPC Industrial Promotion Consortium (CIPC) attended the CEPC International Conference, and held the CIPC parallel sessions and plenary meeting.
The Fourth Annual Meeting of the International Advisory Committee on the Circular Electron Positron Collider was Held in IHEP
On Nov. 15th to 16th, the fourth annual meeting of the International Advisory Committee (IAC) on the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) was Held in IHEP. There are 14 international famous scientists, technical experts and management experts with experience of large scientific project invited to attend the meeting. They are mainly from United States, Switzerland, Italy, Britain, France, Japan, Australia, Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei etc. The director of IHEP Yifang Wang, the director of CEPC Institutional Board Yuanning Gao, the manager of CEPC project Xinchou Lou, and the responsible people of the overall project and related systems, the executive committee members and researchers attended the meeting as well.
The Conceptual Design Report of Circular Electron Positron Collider is Officially Released
On November 14th, the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) research group officially released the CEPC Conceptual Design Report (CDR), which are the “Conceptual Design Report -- accelerator Volume” and “Conceptual Design Report -- Detector and Physics Volume”.

An international review meeting for the detector R&D at the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) project was held at the Institute of High Energy Physics on June 16th.
CEPC Study Group Completes Accelerator Conceptual Design Report
The Conceptual Design Report (CDR), Volume I – Accelerator for the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) was published on September 2. The CEPC Accelerator CDR has reached its goal in multiple energy ranges, including the Higgs, W and Z poles.
CEPC MOST 2018 project application is officially approved on May 31th, 2018
The 2018 National key research and development project "High energy circular electron positron collider key technology research and validation", which is supported by China Ministry of Science and technology, is officially approved on May 31th, 2018.
The first high energy circular electron positron collider (Europe) workshop
The first high energy circular electron positron collider (Europe) workshop was held in Rome, Italy, from May 24 to 26. This is the first time that the high energy circular electron positron collider (CEPC), a large scientific device initiated by China, has a workshop held abroad. The workshop was organized by the third university of Rome and co-organized by IHEP.
The first CEPC workshop on synchrotron radiation light source applications
With the support of the China Center of Advanced Science and Technology, mainly sponsored by IHEP and the center for excellence and innovation of the particle physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the first CEPC workshop on the application of synchrotron radiation was held in IHEP from December 6th to 8th. The total of 54 participants from Fermilab, Peking University, Beijing Normal University, Tsinghua University, China West Normal University and other domestic institutes took part in the workshop.
The International Workshop on electroweak physics and flavor physics on CEPC
In November 9th to 10th, the Frontier research center of IHEP held a workshop on EW and Flavor Physics @ CEPC, and more than 50 representatives from home and abroad attended the conference.
Third Annual Meeting of CEPC-SppC International Advisory Committee Held at IHEP
The Third Annual Meeting of the CEPC-SppC International Advisory Committee was held on November 8 and 9, 2017 at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP). Fourteen noted scientists from the international high energy physics community attended the meeting.
CEPC Industrial Promotion Consortium Established
Over forty domestic entrepreneurs gathered at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) and announced the establishment of an industrial promotion consortium for the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) Project on Nov. 7th 2017.

A mini-review workshop for the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) - Super Proton–Proton Collider (SPPC) Conceptual Design Report was held at the Institute of High Energy Physics from November 4th to 5th.
Mini-Workshop on dynamic aperture of circular accelerator
In November 1st to 3rd, 2017, ICFA Mini-Workshop on Dynamic Apertures of Circular Accelerators was held in IHEP. The workshop is sponsored by the international accelerator Commission of the future (ICFA), and is hosted by IHEP. More than 40 delegates from 8 countries and regions took part. Most of the participants were top experts and famous scholars of accelerator physics particle dynamic aperture. Professor Gao Jie serves as the chairman of the workshop.
CEPC 650 MHz Single Cell Cavity Tested at IHEP
A prototype of 650 MHz single cell cavity for CEPC was tested at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP) on May 3rd, 2017, which is for high-Q research of CEPC cavities.
650 MHz SRF Hardware Design Reviewed
A review meeting of the CEPC 650 MHz SRF hardware design was held at IHEP on July 7th. The meeting was organized by Tsinghua University, IHEP and Peking University. Experts of review are respectively from Peking University, Tsinghua University, IHEP and Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics. Prof. Kexin Liu was appointed as chair of the review.
2017 KEK-IHEP Cooperation Meeting held in Japan
The 2017 KEK-IHEP Cooperation Meeting was held at KEK, Japan, on September 7, 2017 .
CEPC Spring Seminar
The 2017 Spring Seminar of the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) Project was held at Central China Normal University (CCNU) from April 19th to 21st. This was also the 12th CEPC study group meeting. About 180 researchers from particle physics laboratories and universities worldwide participated in this meeting.
Second CEPC IAC meeting at IHEP, November 7-8, 2016..
The Second Annual Meeting of the CEPC-SppC International Advisory Committee was held on November 7 and 8, 2016 at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP). Eighteen noted scientists from the international high energy physics community attended the meeting.

A Study Group Meeting for the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC) was held at Beihang University from September 2 to 3. More than 200 participants from research institutions and universities in China and laboratories in the US, Switzerland and Italy attended the meeting.
11th ICFA Seminar on Future Perspective in High-Energy Physics
The International Committee for Future Accelerators (ICFA) will organize a Seminar from October 27 to 30, 2014 at the Institute of High Energy Physics, Beijing, China. Such a Seminar takes place every three years with the aim of bringing together government officials involved in strategic decisions for High Energy Physics (HEP), representatives of the major funding agencies, the directors of major HEP laboratories, and leading scientists from all of the regions of HEP activity.
The Fourth International Workshop on Future High Energy Circular Colliders（Sep.12-13, 2014）
The workshop is dedicated to bring together people interested in circular high energy e+e- collider (CEPC) as a Higgs factory as well as a future circular high energy pp collider (SPPC) beyond the Higgs factory. Participants will report on the progresses made in theory, accelerator design, detector design and optimization, simulations of benchmark physics processes etc. since the CEPC-SPPC kick-off meeting in September 2013. The focus will be on the preparation for the CEPC pre-CDR. International collaboration and study organization will also be examined.
Center for Future High Energy Physics
The Center for Future High Energy Physics (CFHEP) was inaugurated in Beijing on December 17, 2013. The director of CFHEP, Prof. Nima Arkani-Hamed and the head of IHEP, Prof. Wang Yifang unveiled the foudation of the center. This center will focus on the studies of fundamental particle physics theories, and will play an important role toward the internationalization of the CEPC project.
International Workshop on Future High Energy Circular
The International Workshop on Future High Energy Circular Colliders was held in December 2013 at the Institute of High Energy Physics. About 120 physicists from all over the world participated in this workshop, including Nobel Laureate Professor David Gross, Academicians Hesheng Chen, Yuping Kuang, Kuang-Ta Chao and Zhaoxi Zhang, Professor Nima Arkani-Hamed and Professor Shinichi Kurokawa. The status and research program of future high-energy circular colliders were reported at this workshop. Important topics such as the physics requirements of colliders and detector optimization were discussed in specialized sessions.
Circular Electron-positron Collider (CEPC) Kick-off Meeting
The kick-off meeting of the CEPC project was held on 13-14 September 2013, in Beijing, with over 120 participants from 19 home and overseas institutes. During this meeting, the core organizational structure of the project was established, including the Institute Board and the Steering Committee. The project director, and the conveners of three working groups, coordinating the research efforts on theory, accelerator and detectors studies, were appointed by the Steering Committee and endorsed by the Institute Board.
