IHEP signed the cooperation agreements with several universities and research institutes in Serbia (2019-07-16)
On July 11, Yifang Wang, the director of the institute of high energy physics, Chinese academy of sciences, visited the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences in Serbia.
In the communication, Yifang Wang and Ljupco Hadzijevski, deputy director of the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences, introduced their research areas, achievements and future development plans respectively. The meeting affirmed the cooperation contents in the Memorandum of Understanding on the circular electron positron collider (CEPC) signed by the two sides in 2016, and discussed the expansion of scientific and technological cooperation on this basis.
On July 12th, Yifang Wang, on behalf of IHEP, signed a joint cooperation agreement with Zlatko Rakocevic, Director of the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences in Serbia, Ivanka Popovic, President of University of Belgrade and Nenad Filipovic, President of University of Kragujevac. The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development. Mladen Sarcevic, minister of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Vladimir Popovic, secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, and Yi Shi, first secretary of the Chinese embassy in Serbia, attended the signing ceremony.
The agreement will further promote the cooperation in communication, student training, scientific and technological cooperation, academic activities and design and technology research and development in CEPC.
