The 2018-2019 yearly Meeting of MOST project “High Energy Circular Electron Positron Collider Key Technology Research and Validation” was held in IHEP (2019-05-07)
On Apr. 29-30th, the yearly meeting of the ministry of science and technology (MOST) National Key R&D Plan project “High Energy Circular Electron Positron Collider Key Technology Research and Validation” was held in IHEP. This is the second CEPC project supported by MSOT, which was started in May 2018 with total period of 5 years. The focus of this meeting is to summarize the implementation status of the project in the first year, making the plan for next year, and preparing the midterm check.
The expert committee members, Prof. Hongwei Zhao and Prof. Junguang Lv attended the meeting. In the meeting, the project leader Joao Guimaraes da Costa, reported the overall implementation status in first year. Professor Yunlong Chi, Associate Professor Zhijun Liang and Professor Jianbei Liu respectively reported the implementation status of three tasks in the project, namely CEPC accelerator, silicon tracking detector and hadronic calorimeter. After that, the key members of each task reported the progress and the phased objectives of several key technologies.
The experts listened the implementation reports of the project and tasks, discussed and put forward the constructive opinions and suggestions.
